Application Guidelines
Bond strength development depends on the wetting of the adhesive to the surface. Increased pressure helps achieve better contact and improves bond strength.
Bonding surfaces must be clean and dry for optimal performance. Typical cleaning agents include isopropyl alcohol and heptane.
Note: When using solvents, carefully read and follow the manufacturer’s precautions and usage guidelines.
The ideal application temperature range is 70°F to 100°F (21°C to 38°C). For initial application, it is not recommended to apply the tape below 50°F (10°C) as the adhesive may become too stiff for proper bonding. However, once properly applied, satisfactory bonds can be achieved even in low-temperature environments.
Basic Information
All tapes are supplied with a liner, which improves the dimensional stability of the foam and facilitates slitting and die-cutting operations.
Features
The face adhesive of CIP-66 is a medium-strength acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive with good initial tack and high-temperature holding power.
Application Reference
Medical/Non-Medical diagnostic test strip bonding
Plastic film bonding
Mirror bonding
Laminating equipment
When bonding over a large area, a laminating device is recommended to ensure quality. For more details on laminating equipment, please contact your local sales representative.
